The Gate Porto Hotel

The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast selection was excellent, with a variety of fresh fruits, baked goods, and hot dishes like scrambled eggs and bacon. The staff at The Gate were really good, providing great recommendations for nearby eateries and addressing all of my needs efficiently and cheerfully. The hotel's location near old-city sites and metro stations was also a major plus. I highly recommend The Gate for a great value stay in an excellent location.

The location was also convenient for exploring the city and getting around easily. the breakfast provided a nice variety of options to start the day.

there was a major noise disturbance from a neighboring theater, impossible to get a good night's sleep.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. the location is superbly located downtown within a short walk of the river, making it very tourist orientated. Secondly, the staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service, making check-in and check-out a breeze. Additionally, the rooms were clean and comfortable, with a large comfortable bed and a cute little balcony to enjoy. Lastly, breakfast was included in the price, although the coffee could be improved as it tasted like instant coffee.

All in all, everything was ok and there wasn't anything that I didn't like during my stay at this hotel.

Staying at The Gate Porto was the perfect choice for our business trip. The hotel is ideally located right in the centre of town, close to the railway station and within walking distance of all the city highlights. The staff were incredibly friendly and ready to help with everything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable, with a well-appointed bathroom. The highlight was the delicious breakfast, with a variety of hot and cold options to choose from. We especially loved the fresh fruit and pastries. a fantastic stay!

One minor downside was the lack of specific instructions on entry into the building.

The staff at the front desk were very helpful and accommodating, and it was great to have someone available 24/7. The room, although small, was very clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the shower was fantastic. The location of the hotel was also a major plus, as it was within walking distance of popular shopping areas, the city highlights, and the river. We also loved the outside terrace where we could enjoy breakfast.
